Bank OCBC NISP Sets to Promote Economic Recovery in a More Prominent Role with Positive Financial Performance

Jakarta, 29 October 2021 – Bank OCBC NISP announced positive growth in line with Indonesia's economic recovery. Per 3Q-2021, Bank OCBC NISP's profit increased by 5% yoy to IDR 2 Trillion from IDR 1.9 in the same period of 2020. The contribution came from Net Interest Income grew 9% yoy to IDR 5.7 Trillion until 3Q-2021. Total assets grew by 7% yoy to IDR 211.3 Trillion.

Total Deposits increased 5% yoy to IDR 161.0 Trillion along with increase in low-cost funding ratio (CASA) to 49.2% of Total Deposits. Bank OCBC NISP disbursed IDR 117.3 Trillion of loans as of September 2021, majority was channelled to the manufacturing, trade, and service sectors. The Bank recorded net NPL ratio of 1.0% and gross NPL ratio of 2.4%, well-managed below the banking industry average and regulatory requirements.

On top of that, there are strong public optimism as reflected in the Consumer Confidence Index at 95.5% in September 20211, indicating that the economy has started to rebound. Business players are more confident in expanding their business and people's purchasing power is recovering. This momentum encourages us to work on various innovations and initiatives to increase financial inclusion and literacy, support MSMEs and commit to nurture sustainable business. As a result, Bank OCBC NISP's performance until 3Q-2021 recorded positive growth," said Parwati Surjaudaja, President Director of Bank OCBC NISP.

Support society to Achieve Financial Goals
Successful measures in containing Covid cases has propelled the economic recovery. This includes stronger demand in property sector. Bank OCBC NISP posted growth in mortgages as well, whereby until September 2021, the Bank's mortgage portfolio grew 15% as compared to December 2020. This was due to increased demand (particularly the young adult segment) for residential houses, especially with prices below IDR 2 billion resulting in an increase in the distribution of new mortgages, which was 26% compared to December 2020. With the Easy Start KPR product from Bank OCBC NISP, young adult customers can achieve their financial goals, one of which is house ownership with a multi-level installment scheme.

Apart from property, we observe there is growing interest in investment products. Per September 2021, revenue from wealth management transactions for mutual funds, bancassurance dan bonds increased 34% as compared to the same period last year. Fee-based income from wealth management contributed 25%, which came from mutual funds and bancassurance sales transactions as well as profit from bond sales.

To support customers in achieving their financial goals, Bank OCBC NISP continues to accelerate digital capabilities to provide our customers with the best benefits. Recently, Bank OCBC NISP launched revamped ONe Mobile, a mobile banking application to grow money. ONe Mobile allows customers to manage personal finances, expenses and investments to fit their needs, ranging from mutual funds, bonds, time deposits, time savings, and even foreign currency savings. "In order to be financially fit, ONe Mobile does not only assist customers in payments, top-up for electronic money. The app also supports customers to achieve financial goals and build passive income through various investment options," added Parwati.

ONe Mobile's capability to grow your money and carry out daily transactions has received favourable responses from customers. Until end of September, the number of transactions through ONe Mobile increased by 16%, value of transactions increased by 17%, while number of users increased by 21% compared to the same period in 2020.

Support Corporate Customers for Business Expansion
Bank OCBC NISP is committed to support Corporate Clients by providing comprehensive business solution for their business expansion. Bank OCBC NISP collaborates with several companies on medical equipment financing and bank guarantee facilities for infrastructure development.

Bank OCBC NISP also enhanced its corporate digital service capabilities, velocity@ocbcnisp. In the past, customers access is limited to monitor their outstanding and trade facilities. Starting from 3Q- 2021, they can easily issue and change their Bank Guarantees via velocity@ocbcnisp based on the website (https://newvelocity.ocbcnisp.com/) without having to visit branch offices. This new capability has also received good responses from the Bank's corporate customers. As per September 2021, the value of transactions through velocity@ocbcnisp grew by 69% yoy, while number of transactions and users grew by 18% and 15%, respectively.
