OCBC Syariah Records Positive Performance in 2024 and Continues to Strengthen Contribution to Society Through Zakat & Mudik Asyik Programs

Jakarta, April 10, 2025 – OCBC's Sharia Business Unit (UUS) recorded positive growth throughout 2024 with asset growth of 20% YoY to Rp11 trillion with net profit in 2024 recorded at Rp82.2 billion. Subsequently, the financing portfolio grew by 13% and Third Party Funds (DPK) grew by 19%. Then, UUS OCBC's capital adequacy ratio (CAR) was at 23%.

Throughout 2024, UUS OCBC recorded that the financing disbursed reached Rp6 trillion, while the funds collected reached Rp8.6 trillion. The majority of funds disbursed by UUS OCBC were used for housing financing or KPR iB, which covered 54% of the total financing, while the other 46% was allocated for productive financing.

UUS OCBC recorded a net non-performing financing ratio (NPF Net) of 1.4%, a return on assets (ROA) of 0.8% and a financing to deposit ratio (FDR) of 70%.

In an effort to continue to grow and reach more people, UUS OCBC focuses on product development in the retail segment and selectively in the Business Banking segment by prioritizing the principle of prudence. This strategy is carried out to ensure a balanced funding and financing portfolio between consumptive and productive needs.

In an effort to provide financial solutions integrated with Sharia principles, UUS OCBC synergizes with the parent bank to complement the service and product variants owned by the parent bank.”

In addition, UUS OCBC is also committed to supporting economic growth and community welfare, including developing products that are in accordance with the needs of retail customers and business actors, especially MSMEs, so that they can grow and develop sustainably.

Support for MSMEs and Social Programs

In addition to focusing on business growth, UUS OCBC is also active in social activities and community economic empowerment. In early 2025, UUS OCBC distributed zakat for entrepreneurship assistance for MSME actors in Berdaya Simpang Village, Bantar Kalong District, Tasikmalaya. This assistance was provided through collaboration with Rumah Zakat, with a total digital zakat given by Customers through OCBC Mobile of Rp153 million and profit-sharing zakat of Rp24 million.

In the event, UUS OCBC also provided financial literacy education to the surrounding community and held an MSME training program for beneficiaries so that they gain knowledge about business development so that it continues to be sustainable.

In addition, welcoming the month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, UUS OCBC held a series of activities including: Sharia Inspiration in the form of joint studies with ustadz in five cities (Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Batam and Medan), Ramadhan Expo to support MSMEs, inauguration of the Renovation of the Lautze 2 Mosque in Bandung, the AMAL Program sharing 1,050 basic food packages and the annual Mudik Asyik program.

UUS OCBC provides free homecoming facilities for people in need. The program, which has been running for 9 years, is a form of social responsibility from UUS OCBC through the distribution of Dana Kebajikan to share with the community. This year, the Mudik Asyik program sent off around 432 travelers from Jakarta, Tangerang and Bandung to various regions in Central Java, such as Semarang, Yogyakarta, Solo, and Wonogiri.
