Bank OCBC NISP will provide Channelling Facility to support AwanTunai in providing Supply Chain Financing for micro-businesses
Jakarta, February 10th, 2019 – As part of its commitment to empower Indonesia’s MSMEs through digital partnership program, Bank OCBC NISP signed a credit channelling agreement with one of financial technology start-up company, PT Simplefi Teknologi Indonesia (AwanTunai). Attending to the partnership signing ceremony is Thomas Low, Bank OCBC NISP Director and Windy Natriavi, President Commissioner of AwanTunai in Jakarta, Monday (10/2). Through this digital partnership program, Bank OCBC NISP is ready to support AwanTunai in providing Supply Chain Financing for Indonesia’s micro-businesses.

Therefore, it requires attention and support from various parties, especially from financial industry players to help MSMEs in Indonesia continue to grow by utilizing digital developments. This has prompted Bank OCBC NISP to establish a strategic partnership with AwanTunai as part of our Beyond Banking strategy. With this strategy, Bank OCBC NISP aims to maximize the potential of start-ups in creating transformative value to MSMEs business players. Coupled with more than 78 years of long journey experience, Bank OCBC NISP is ready to provide AwanTunai with high quality financing facilities to be disbursed by AwanTunai to micro businesses in the form of supply chain financing," said Thomas Low.
A shared commitment to drive Indonesia economy by strengthening the financial health of micro businesses has inspired this partnership between Bank OCBC NISP and AwanTunai. AwanTunai realizes its commitment by digitizing supply chains, through collaboration with wholesalers and distributors in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector. With this partnership model, AwanTunai does not provide capital in cash but instead provides goods that are a necessity of their business to avoid misuse of capital. Thus, micro businesses can develop businesses productively and be able to manage capital and cashflow.
