Bank OCBC NISP Provides Easy to Access Digital Gold Investment Starting from IDR 10,000 on ONe Mobile

Jakarta, 23 August 2023 – Committed in encouraging young indonesians to become #FinanciallyFit, Bank OCBC NISP officially launched Tabungan Emas, a Sharia-compliant product and service that enabling customers to invest in gold digitally through the ONe Mobile application. In collaboration with Pegadaian, Bank OCBC NISP is the first digital gold savings bank in Indonesia.

The OCBC NISP Financial Fitness Index (FFI) 2023 shows that Indonesia's financial fitness score is 41.16 out of 100 - meaning that there is still room for improvement for the younger generation to increase the score. FFI 2023 also reveals that currently only 33% of them are knowledgeable about digital gold savings products. In fact, the results of research show that those who are familiar with the product provisions and benefits of online gold savings in detail tend to have a better financial fitness score than those who do not understand.

In response to the research, Amir Widjaya, EVP Marketing and Lifestyle Business Division Head Bank OCBC NISP, stated that Bank OCBC NISP is committed to support young Indonesian in becoming #FinanciallyFit so that they can enjoy today's lifestyle. Bank OCBC NISP implements it by providing a variety of investment products and services, including Tabungan Emas.

Tabungan Emas offers various benefits for customers - Easy; because customers can invest in digital gold directly through the ONe Mobile Application without the need to download other applications or visit branches. Quick, because the customer's purchase of gold is immediately reflected in the Gold Balance. Tabungan Emas digital is also convenient because customers do not have to worry about storing gold bars at home, as their gold savings is 100% guaranteed and safely stored at Pegadaian. Customers can also redeem physical gold by visiting a Sharia Pegadaian branch of their choice.

Another advantage of Tabungan Emas as a safe haven asset and an affordable investment gave an option to the customer that willing to buy and sell gold balance starting from Rp. 10.000,- easy and safe. Furthermore, gold is a historically stable and valuable asset, with a tendency to increase in value over time. This makes Tabungan Emas a potentially profitable investment for customers who are willing to invest in the medium to long term.

All Bank OCBC NISP customers can access Tabungan Emas through the ONe Mobile application. To start saving, customers must first register for the product on the "Buy" menu. Once registered, customers can purchase gold by selecting the "Investment" menu and then clicking "Gold Savings". Customers can purchase gold using either their savings or checking account.

Mahendra Koesumawardhana, Head of Bank OCBC NISP's Sharia Business Unit, concluded "Tabungan Emas is a Sharia-compliant investment product that offers a halal investment option for people to diversify their investments.
