Launching Creative Hub Ruang Kreasi, OCBC Supports MSMEs #BeraniNaikLevel by Facilitating Marketing and Digital Creativity

Jakarta, March 1, 2024 – Affirming its commitment to continue to ignite the spirit of Indonesian MSMEs to #BeraniNaikLevel, OCBC launched the first financial institution creative hub in Indonesia called Ruang Kreasi by OCBC. This creative hub is established to support and facilitate MSMEs in enhancing their creativity and marketing efforts, strengthening their competitive edge in an increasingly dynamic market. Ruang Kreasi by OCBC provides various supporting facilities for MSMEs, including photo studio rooms, work and collaboration rooms, creative areas for live events, photoshoots, and video making areas for marketing activities.

According to the OCBC Business Fitness Index 2023 research, as many as 66% of MSMEs have utilized social media and marketplaces to support their business growth. This shows that some MSMEs are already aware of the importance of utilizing digitalization in business marketing. However, to increase competitiveness, MSMEs need to continue to be supported in terms of innovation, creativity, and marketing.

"MSMEs must continue to increase their competitiveness, because innovation and creativity are what will make a business stand out among others. However, many MSMEs are still beginners in digital marketing and social media, so sometimes they don't know where to start, or don't have adequate space or facilities to support their activities. This is the background of OCBC presenting Ruang Kreasi, a place where they can start innovating, honing their creativity, and collaborating." Said Amir Widjaya, Marketing & Lifestyle Business Division Head, OCBC.

Edho Zell, founder of Social Bread, a digital marketing marketplace continued, “Although most businesses have shifted to the digital realm, there are still many business actors who have not felt the impact and have not been able to increase sales significantly. Most MSMEs have difficulty developing their businesses online, including due to limited human resources, expertise, and skills to manage and maximize their digital marketing activities.”

In an effort to level up, MSMEs can maximize the role of creative hubs as providers of facilities and infrastructure to support their digital promotional activities. MSMEs can also combine Ruang Kreasi facilities with various Nyala Bisnis products and solutions from OCBC, which are tailored to the aspirations and needs of increasingly dynamic business people.

“OCBC offers educational and consultative business financial solutions. Not only providing financial solutions to easy access to business capital, but also building a mentoring system that supports comprehensively through Business Fitness Solutions/Business Health Solutions. OCBC also continues to support MSMEs to go digital through service solutions that are continuously improved to become easier, faster and more convenient to access,” said Sari Kartika, SME Proposition Division Head, OCBC. “By combining increasingly comprehensive products and solutions, coupled with creative hub facilities that hone creativity and innovation, Indonesian MSMEs can be even more courageous to continue to level up,” she added.

With the opening of the Ruang Kreatif for Nyala Bisnis customers in 2024, OCBC has a target to help around 100 MSMEs improve their creativity and technological literacy through various programs, including the Nyala Bisnis Kreasi Class, which is a business education class with experts. This activity is targeted to start in Q2 2024, which is specifically opened for Nyala Bisnis customers.

Ruang Kreasi by OCBC is located in Pasar Intermoda BSD which is close to public transportation, making it easily accessible to MSMEs. This creative hub has three floors that can be utilized by MSMEs, with a photo studio on the first floor to take model or catalog photos. On the second floor there is a collaboration room for coworking space and control room, and on the third floor there are rooms that can be used for livestream broadcasts, photoshoots, and video shooting. The livestream studio at Ruang Kreasi by OCBC can be used by making a reservation via web.ocbc.id/bookruangkreasi.
