Jakarta, 13 July 2022 – Bank OCBC NISP in collaboration with DailySocial.id conduct OCBC NISP Hack@ON competition event with the theme #GakPerluRibet Let's Bank Differently. The Hack@ON program is a technology-based innovation event, which aims to generate a hassle free new banking experiences and invite the nation's technology talents who have high ambitions and a strong desire to be able to ignite their original and best ideas in advancing financial inclusion to make a better Indonesia.
According to data from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the pandemic has pushed Indonesians to migrate their physical activities into the digital space. It is proven by the increase in economic growth in the information and communication sector during 2021, namely 8.72%, 6.87%, and 5.51% year-on-year. Undeniably, this migration has an impact on people's lifestyles that are increasingly complex and transforms Indonesian people become digital savvy.

Currently, the government is promoting Indonesia Emas 2045, a vision to build a developed country that is sovereign, fair, and prosperous. One of the pillars' goals is to promote general welfare by measuring financial health. Hence, financial inclusion and literacy are indispensable. Access to banking must be anywhere and anytime so all Indonesians, especially the young generations have an easy access to this services.
As information, Open Banking is a mechanism for providing open but secure access to customer data using technology in the form of an open Application Programming Interface (API). By using this technology, third parties can access the data they need from customers through available connections, with the consent of the customer. With this concept, the Bank can create a personalized innovative service or application. As a result, the technology can improve customer satisfaction and experience, as they easily access banking services in their daily lives.
