Accessibility is key to enhancing the high-net-worth client experience

Jakarta, 20 October 2026 – OCBC introduces Premier One, an exclusive offering for high-net-worth clients with increasingly complex wealth management needs. As wealth grows, financial decisions do not necessarily become simpler. Personal, family, and business priorities often overlap, from growing assets and maintaining liquidity to managing risk. Standard solutions alone can no longer meet each client’s needs.

According to the OCBC 2026 Net Promoter Score Study, satisfied affluent clients have 20% higher engagement than those who are not satisfied. The range of investment solutions a bank offers is a key driver of satisfaction.

Clients also increasingly expect advice that reflects their personal circumstances. Among affluent investors, 75% want advice tailored to their situation, while 70% expect advisers to share insights proactively, without being asked.

“For affluent clients, a positive experience begins when their bank understands their broader life circumstances, beyond the figures in their portfolio. Personalisation means providing easy access to advice, banking solutions, and benefits that are truly relevant,” said Hayati Indah Putri, Customer Experience Head, OCBC.

The client relationship now extends beyond transactions and investments. Beyond Banking ranks among the top three drivers of client satisfaction. Among high-net-worth clients, 42% are satisfied with OCBC’s ability to provide Beyond Banking benefits that support mobility, health, family, and quality of life.

These findings underpin Premier One, guided by the principle of personalised accessibility for every ambition. The offering provides more personalised access to expert advice, selected investment solutions, and regional and lifestyle benefits, aligned with each client’s ambitions, life stage, risk profile, liquidity needs, and family and business goals.

“Premier One strengthens OCBC’s wealth management proposition by bringing together expert advice, priority access to selected investment solutions, and the strengths of our regional network and lifestyle benefits. Through this approach, we aim to be a partner who helps clients plan, manage, grow, and protect their wealth in line with their individual goals,” said Stephanie M. Kristanto, Premier Banking Segment Head, OCBC.

Changing investment behaviour also reinforces the need for more personalised services. Industry data show that 59% of wealth professionals consider Indonesian clients increasingly knowledgeable. However, more than 70% of retail savings and investment balances remain in time deposits. This highlights the need for advice that translates clients’ goals into more diversified portfolios suited to their needs.

“A broad range of investment solutions matters because no single instrument can meet every client’s needs. Personalised wealth management starts with understanding the client’s goals, then translating them into a strategy and access to relevant investment solutions,” said Diamond Stole, Wealth Management Advisory Head, OCBC.

Globally, demand for a wider range of investment solutions continues to grow. Among high-net-worth individuals, 68% plan to increase their exposure to private equity. Yet only 17% consider their advisory experience seamless and personalised.

These findings show that offering more products alone is insufficient. Clients need advice to assess a product’s relevance, understand its risks, and determine its role within the overall portfolio. Priority access does not mean every product is suitable for every client. Each recommendation must remain aligned with the client’s risk profile, investment goals, liquidity needs, and understanding of the product.

Premier One addresses these needs through three pillars of accessibility: personalised advisory from a Senior Relationship Manager backed by Investment Consultants; priority access to leading products and financial insights from a wealth panel, tailored to each client’s profile and needs; and integrated regional access and elevated lifestyle privileges through OCBC’s network in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. Every recommendation remains subject to a suitability assessment and includes an explanation of the product’s benefits, risks, fees, and features.

Premier One benefits also include access to OCBC Premier Lounges, card programmes, premium airport pick-up services, medical check-ups in Indonesia and overseas, and exclusive experiences, subject to applicable terms. Clients may also receive travel vouchers worth IDR 12 million and cashback of up to IDR 21 million for new clients or IDR 20 million for existing clients, depending on the client segment, programme period, and terms and conditions.

This approach reflects OCBC’s craftsmanship: understanding clients’ needs in detail, applying expertise with precision, and designing solutions around each client’s unique goals. For more information, visit https://www.ocbc.id/id/individu/premier/premier-one
